Property Description:

Perched on a hill overlooking Nice, this historic stone farmhouse comes with lovely views of the Mediterranean and surrounding mountains (facing south). Seated on a very old olive grove on an acre of land, the house is steeped in history and charm.

Originally a Roman watchtower, this entirely renovated 'mas Provencal' was built in several stages over the centuries. On the main floor, there is a spacious kitchen and dining room with a lovely view of the sea and garden. The French doors open out to the veranda and garden, shaded by century old olive trees.

The house is an ideal family holiday home, with lots of outdoor and indoor space, including a swimming pool, a swing , fruit trees (including delicious figs in August), a ping pong table and barbecue. The garden is perfectly safe for children and the land is protected by a wall and intercom for visitors. Tennis courts are 5 minutes away and the seaside is just 15 minutes down the road. Lots of mountain hiking and climbing too.
The house is very comfortably furnished in the old country French style, with lovely tiles from the region throughout. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a complete range of modern appliances and all the cooking utensils, crockery, and crystal you will need.

The living room is crowned by an exquisite medieval fireplace.

Upstairs in the tower there are two rooms with queen size beds.
The top room has a magnificent 36° view of the surrounding hills and the water stretching past Antibes to the Esterel range in the distance. This area is served by a bathroom with shower and basin, and a separate WC.

Downstairs is the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, (410 square feet) with separate sitting area under a central arch, floors of unpolished marble and a large medieval fireplace which once belonged to a castle. The room has a complete bathroom with shower, basin and WC

Across from the master bedroom are two other bedrooms each with two twin beds.

A 3rd bathroom and WC is located next to the two twin rooms downstairs.
·

This part of the house also has the laundry with washing machine and a separate exit into the garden.

The garden is very spacious, serene and private. Lovely for dining outdoors under the olive trees, and great for children. Outdoor lighting is provided in the trees to just relax and enjoy the birds into the evening.

Amenities - Fireplace, phone, TV, Video, stereo, microwave, dishwasher, full kitchen, and washing machine. Linen is provided as are cookware and utensils. Charcoal barbecue, large swimming pool, Ping Pong.
